Mark Griffen MSP

mark-griffinMark was born in Glasgow in 1985 and has always resided in Kilsyth. He attended St Patrick’s Primary School and then St Maurice’s High School in Cumbernauld. He studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, graduating with a BEng (Hons) degree in 2007. During his time at university, and for a number of years after it, Mark served in the British Army, as a soldier with the TA.  He has also worked as an engineer in Northern Ireland.In 2008 Mark was elected to North Lanarkshire Council, representing the people of the Kilsyth Ward. Until 2011, Mark served as Vice Convenor of the Council’s Planning Committee.Mark was elected to the Scottish Parliament in May 2011, as a Labour MSP representing the Central Scotland region. Upon his election at the age of 25, Mark is the youngest MSP in the history of the Scottish Parliament.In Parliament, Mark is a member of the Local Government and Regeneration Committee, and a member of the Cross-Party Groups on Deafness and Industrial Communities.  In his spare time, Mark enjoys playing and watching football, attending concerts and keeping fit.

Siobhan McMahon MSP

????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????Born in Bellshill, I graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University with a 2.1 BA Honours in Politics with History and Sociology. Elected to the Parliament on 5 May 2011, I am one of 3 Scottish Labour regional MSPs for Central Scotland. I am a longstanding member of the Labour Party and the GMB, the General Workers Union. My father, Michael McMahon, is MSP for Uddingston and Bellshill, and I have previously worked as a Labour researcher in the Scottish Parliament, and for former Scottish Secretary Jim Murphy at the Scotland Office. My Parliamentary duties are varied: I am a member of the Parliament’s Equal Opportunities Committee, Vice-Convenor of the Cross Party Group (CPG) on ME and the Diabetes CPG, Treasurer of the International Development Group CPG, and a member of the Malawi CPG. Outside Parliament I enjoy reading and am a keen fan of sport, something I believe everyone should have equal access to.

Margaret McCullock MSP

Margaret was born in Glasgow and moved to East Kilbride over 35 years ago. She graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University with a Post Graduate CertificatMargaretMcCullochMSP2012082e in Electronic Business. Having worked at the University of Strathclyde for over 17 years Margaret latterly delivered training for Modern Apprentices in a wide range of occupational areas.
Margaret is also Vice Chair of the Constituency Labour Party for East Kilbride, Strathaven & Lesmahagow, member of the Local Government Committee and Treasurer of East Mains Branch. Get to Margarets website here
